Marian was born in Wisbech, Cambridgeshire on 30th July 1926. Marian married Clare on 24th January 1949 and had 4 children, Kay, Chris, Helen and Jeannette. She had lived in Fornham All Saints, Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk since 1972. Having left Wisbech the family moved to Emneth, Nr Wisbech where the kids were born. From there we moved to Takeley, Nr Bishops Stortford, Hertfordshire. Our early years were spent there and we went to the local primary and secondary schools. From there we all moved to Winchester, Hampshire in 1967 (I believe). We went to the local schools and eventually got jobs and our own homes. Mum and Dad then moved to Fornham All Saints. Mum had two brothers John and George who have sadly left us. She was a hairdresser for over 40 years. A member of the WI and a Mason. She played the piano and had a great singing voice. Mum sadly passed away on the 15th April 2011 at the West Suffolk Hospital of acute pneumonia. Her funeral will take place on Wednesday 4th May. A service will be held at the Fornham All Saints church followed by the crematorium.
